I heard about the book signing ceremony in Century City Cape Town. What happened next was I realised that carbs and sugars were my enemy. My "diet" was adding weight and not reducing. I started immediately. The pressure of hunger was off. I ate whatever I needed but stuck  specifically to the Banting style and suggestions. Within days I started reducing weight. Other problems, sugar highs, energy dips etc, all stopped. My skin started to improve.

My entire family is Banting, which makes it easier when we visit each other. Together, we have lost over 70kg and we have never been healthier!

According to the scale I have lost 19kg, but that's not my focus. I have gone from a size 18 pants to a size 12/small 14. I have also never measured myself. Yes, I do have the occasional "cheat", mostly when I go out for dinner, as it is not always 100% possible to stick to the correct oils. I always choose a salad or vegetables as my side dish though... I will never quit this lifestyle! It has improved my quality of life, I have more energy, and I am sleeping better!
